ANCIENT EGYPT SPIRITUAL ALCHEMY TOUR 2010
28th June - 5th July 2010
(with optional second week of 5th – 12th July 2010 inclusive)
It is with deep joy and great excitement that we announce the 2010 Egyptian Spiritual Alchemy Tour. This is a magical journey, an Earth service mission and a contemporary spiritual pilgrimage.
We have been instructed to activate a number of the ancient sites and temples of Egypt to a new level. This involves building new portals to the higher dimensions, as well as re-activating and installing various cosmic key codes and energetic structures that support the expanding unity consciousness of our dear planet at this time. The vast majority of these activations will be done “in the moment” in co-creation with our friends on the inner planes.
We very much look forward to meeting the precious group of beings that will gather to co-create this awesome experience.
PLEASE NOTE: due to the guided and co-creative nature of what we are doing, plans within Egypt may change at short notice. Please come with an open heart and a flexible mind as to where the Universe may lead us. Please also note, you will receive profound healing, activation and expansion of your own unique consciousness. As such, please come prepared for a major inner journey!
FACILITATOR - DEBRA G GOLDSTON
Debra is founder of Clear Intentions and Ascended World. She is an international speaker, author and trance voice channel who specializes in initiations, Ascended Master teachings and tours to old and new sacred sites both locally within the UK & internationally.
Born in February 1964 (on the first day of the Chinese Dragon) in Shropshire, England, Debra enjoyed a conventional British upbringing as the eldest of three children. Unable to read until the age of 11 however, she managed to avoid the usual shift into logic which accompanies the Western education process. Instead, Debra maintained contact with her guides and so called "imaginary friends" and indeed continued to develop these skills.
Spending her childhood and young adult life being guided to many sacred sites across the world, she was often spontaneously attuned to the magical energies which she found there. In particular, she found every excuse to repeatedly visit Egypt during the 70s and 80s, at the time often blissfully unaware of her life's work already unfolding. Since those early years, Debra has returned to this magical land time after time, on each occasion retrieving a little more of her memory related to the ancient mystery schools and their powerful teachings. A significant part of her soul purpose for this lifetime is to participate in the activations which this and similar tours will bring forth. Indeed, preparations have been underway for many years and she carries a feeling of deep joy to be a part of this work.
It is with deep love and gratitude that Debra continues her work in Service in Love, offering to help others as they are guided towards such work end energies.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 – Monday, 28 June 2010
Depart from Manchester or Gatwick airport if travelling from UK (International/non-UK travellers may join us in Luxor and deduct three hundred pounds from the tour price accordingly)* on a non stop flight to Luxor.
On arrival in Luxor you will be met by a representative from our agent in Egypt, Traveline, who will assist you in passing through customs and immigration. All visitors to Egypt require a visa which will be purchased on your behalf by our travel agents at Luxor airport. Your Visa application will be submitted by us on your behalf (UK travellers only).
You will transfer from Luxor airport directly to our home for the week, namely our 5 hotel the Steigenburger Nile Palace on a B&B basis. This 5-star hotel overlooking the Nile is located in the centre of Luxor. Facilities include restaurants, bars, two heated outdoor pools and health and fitness club. There are 304 well appointed air conditioned rooms with private facilities, hairdryer, safe, mini-bar and satellite TV.
Due to arrive in mid afternoon by egyptian timing, the first day completes with unpacking and generally settling into our rooms before having our first full group dinner and an initial evening of aclimatising to our new home and generally getting to know each other. However, those who enjoy shopping may like to join Debra and take a late evening trip to the local bazaar and enjoy the national sport of haggling for leather goods, crystal jewellery, carpets and the like!
The luxurious surroundings of the Steigenberger will provide the base for our action packed week at Luxor. This life-changing week will be spent seeing the wonderful sights of ancient Egypt as well, of course, as busying ourselves with the various activations which have brought us to this truly magical land. In order to ensure that everyone receives precisely what they need from this trip, many of the excursions and site visits are optional in nature, allowing the maximum flexibility and individual choice.
NOTE: Please bring suitable footwear for walking over the ruins and rough stones which will often be present. A sun hat, good sun glasses, a water carrier / bottle and, of course, plenty of high factor sun screen are also vital. Some of the sites which we will visit are under formal Islamic guard and, even where this is not the case, they are sacred. That being the case, please dress appropriately with loose, cool clothing which will provide the option at least of covering your shoulders where it is appropriate.
You may also like to give some forethought to bringing along a few crystals for the trip. This may be the case even if you do not consciously know how to work with them. These may either be buried in the ground or filled with energy and taken back home at the end of your stay. Debra will provide an instruction session on this issue.
STOP PRESS: During our sojourn in Luxor either now or at the end of our trip, you may wish to consider:
(A highly recommended optional hot air balloon ride can be arranged for this morning at the cost of approximately US $110 per person. We would be collected at our hotel around 05H00 and cross the Nile by motor boat and do a 40 minute hot air balloon ride over the West Bank of Luxor viewing the Ramesseum temple, Medinet Habu temple, tomb entrances, desert, farm land and in the distance the mighty river Nile. An unforgettable experience! ). Please let Debra know if you are interested in this and also double check with your insurers that they will cover you for this activity which many insurers consider hazardous.
DAY 2 – Tuesday 29th June
Visit the Temple of Amun at Karnak, which was once the religious centre of Thebes and Upper Egypt. Karnak was linked to Luxor by a sphinx-lined avenue and in turn the whole complex was connected to the Nile by a canal.
The highlight of our early morning visit to this world famous temple complex will be the Ascension Sekhem Pearl of Wisdom Activations which will take place in the hidden and little know temple of Ptah. Here we will sit with Sekhmet and receive both personal activation into this higher energy stream as well as undertaking the group mission of carrying this energy for all Mankind. We will also be undertaking a specific mission, namely to create an energetic bridge, connecting this site with Avebury in the UK.
We will complete our morning activities with an initial visit to the much smaller but still very magical Temple of Luxor. Built by Amenphis III on the site of an earlier temple, it was later enlarged and beautified by Ramses II.
These are only our initial visits to these vast temple complexes which we will return to privately and on further escorted visits later in our trip, as we are guided. Nominal entry costs to temple complexes not included.
DAY 3 - Wednesday 30th June (optional excursion)
Visit to the amazing Temple of Dendera
One of the best preserved complexes in the whole of Egypt, this is truly a site to behold. Built in dedication to the cow- headed goddess, Hathor, it is considered a lucky shrine by all those seeking to conceive a child. The world re-known astrological chart and depictions of the world’s earliest light bulb can also be found here!
Our meditations here will be based upon opening to the blessings and light eminating directly from the Great Mother and will be extremely powerful in nature.
Our day continues after a brief break for lunch with our second visit of the day-this time to the Temple of Abydos.
Another spectacularly preserved temple, this time we will focus upon activations to bring through the until now hidden Illumined Truth of the Osirion, at the same time viewing for ourselves the curiously etched symbols of the Flower of Life almost entirely hidden here. There will also be opportunity to marvel at the curious hieroglyphs of the helicopter and space craft about which so much has been written!
Additional cost of seventy pounds - payable on the trip.
DAY 4 - Thursday 1st July
Another optional day trip to Cairo by early morning flight to visit the only remaining Natural Wonder of the Ancient World, namely the Great Pyramid at Giza and, of course, the Sphinx.
The Great Pyramid, originally 482 feet high, it is now slightly lower due to the removal of its outer casing and capstone. The pyramid of Khafre, slightly smaller than that of Khufu his father, retains some of its outer limestone covering. The pyramid of Menkaure’s is the smallest of the group, but perhaps the most expensive to construct due to its building material.
We will then visit the Solar Boat, believed by many to be the funerary bark that carried the body of Khufu from Memphis to his pyramid tomb at Giza. We will then visit the panorama area where there is an opportunity to ride a camel, followed by a visit to the Sphinx and the valley temple.
Upon confirming your booking for the main tour, you will be asked whether you wish to join this optional long day excursion which is available at an additional cost of approximately 250 pounds.
DAY 5 - Friday 2nd July
El-Kab & el-Moalla Temples & Tombs
This morning’s visit is to El Kab, whose necropolis houses some important rock-tombs of the provincial governors of El-Kab in the New Kingdom, and shows the early history of the 18th Dynasty and the reunification of Egypt. This complex is home to the tombs of Ahmose, son of Ibana, an admiral in the wars of liberation against the Hyksos, and Sobeknakht II, who saved the Theban 16th or 17th Dynasty from destruction by Kushite forces. On our drive in, we will pass the great enclosure wall, one of the few remains of the ancient city of El-Kab, and perhaps stop at the Temple of Amenhotep III on the outskirts of the complex.
El-Kab is also home to the site dedicated to the vulture Goddess, Nekhbet. As a vulture-goddess, Nekhbet is the goddess of heaven, sometimes related to the sun when she is called "the Eye of Re" and other times to the moon. She is also the protectress of the king and of the non-royal deceased. As such, she is represented as a vulture extending one wing to the front, the other to the ground, flying above the person she is protecting.
Leaving El Kab behind us now, we continue our journey to the Chapel of Thoth, located at el-Moalla. Our focus here is a dedication to the ancient Egyptian god of knowledge, also known as Thoth the Atlantean. Thoth was thought to be scribe to the gods, he who kept a great library of scrolls, over which one of his wives, Seshat (the goddess of writing) was thought to be mistress. He was associated by the Egyptians with speech, literature, arts, learning. He, too, was a measurer and recorder of time. It is fitting therefore that we choose this place to undertake a brief journey back in time in order to reveal our own connection with this most magical land.
DAY 6 - Saturday 3rd July
El Armana
An early start today will see our group travelling today by road to Middle Egypt to visit the lesser known but truly magical city of El Armana, formally known as Akhenaten. El Amarna (also Tell el-Amarna) is located on the east bank of the Nile, in the province of El-Minia.
Akhenaten was the capital city of the Dynasty XVIII king, Akhenaten, called by some ‘the heretic king’. Akhenaten, formerly Amenhotep IV, built his city in a bay of cliffs on the east bank of the Nile as a centre for the worship of his ‘new’ religion, Atenism. The ancient city has become a pilgrimage for those of us who have been captivated by this unique period of Egyptian history. The vast site is now only accessible by ferry to el-Till, the modern village built on the narrow strip of cultivation along the river bank towards the northern end of Akhetaten. The archaeology of the city is defined by low excavated or reconstructed walls and in some cases only bare outlines of the structures can be made out on the sand-covered plain, since most of the stonework was removed in ancient times and any remaining mud brick is badly decayed. Only one generation after Akhenaten’s death, there were few physical remains of his superb innovative structures, for a short moment in history one of the greatest cities of ancient Egypt.
Not withstanding the lack of in tact monuments, this is perhaps the most magical of all ancient egyptian sites. It was said that one day Akhenaten had a vision wherein he saw a sun disc between two mountains. He felt that God was guiding him to make change. He was shown the God, Aten, as the Sun Disk - the Light. He felt guided by Aten to build a city between the two mountains.
In the sixth year of his reign Akhenaten rejected the Gods of Thebes. They were never part of his childhood anyway since he had been shunned as a child. Akhenaten had declared for the first time in recorded history that there was only one God - the concept of monotheism. Overnight he turned 2,000 years of Egyptian religious upside down... To make a complete break, the king and his queen, the now famous Neferiti, left Thebes behind and moved to a new capital in Middle Egypt, 180 miles north of Thebes and half way between Memphis and Thebes. It was a virgin site, not previously dedicated to any other god or goddess, and he named it Akhetaten - The Horizon of the Aten. Today the site is known as El-Amarna.
At this pivotal moment in Earth’s reawakening, it is time for the city of the Aten to awaken once more as we prepare to fully embrace the Unity Consciousness of All That Is. To this end, our visit to this spiritual oasis will provide an opportunity to play an important part in reactivating the until now dormant energies of this most special place.
There will be a modest additional charge for this day which will be advised closer to the departure date dependant upon the number of travellers who choose to join us for this event.
DAY 7 - Sunday 4th July (Optional excursion)
Valley of the Kings at Thebes in the early morning
After an early breakfast we will visit the West Bank of Luxor, one of the richest archaeological sites on Earth by crossing the road bridge to see the world famous Valley of the Kings.
During the greatest period in ancient Egyptian history, most of the pharaohs were buried here, in tombs of extraordinary beauty and in chambers filled with vast treasures. We will visit three tombs where we will view their afterlife dreams coming true. We will study the voyage of eternity and the sailing through the sky, as the Pharaohs make their trip toward what is in the beyond. View the kings succeeding in passing through the “Gates of the Afterlife,” in very detailed, brilliantly coloured and intact scenes. Why not also take an opportunity to visit the tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamen during this visit?
Situated in a secluded area of the West Bank, the Valley of the Kings contains 62 excavated tombs, mostly royal but some belonging to members of nobility. There are differences in style, colour and content in each tomb. The ceilings are painted with scenes and inscriptions designed to assist the kind on his journey through the Underworld. We shall also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and continue to the Colossi of Memnon before returning to our hotel for lunch.
DAY 1 or 8 - Monday 5th July
Those who are only travelling with us for the first week of the tour will have an opportunity this morning to rest by the Nile side pool before departing via Luxor airport for a late afternoon flight back to Manchester, taking with them many treasured memories of a magical week in ancient Thebes.
For those who have chosen instead to continue for the second phase of our tour, it is time to make the short coach trip to the outskirts of Luxor where we will join our new home for the next 7 days aboard our luxury five star cruise ship (on a full board basis). Here, we will be joined during the early evening by those travellers joining us only for the week two programme. A group dinner will follow as we make new friends.
Overnight mooring in Luxor.
The week aboard your Nile cruiser will be spent seeing the wonderful sights of ancient Egypt as well, of course, as busying ourselves with the various activations which have brought us to this truly magical land (participation optional).
Whilst aboard this cruise liner, we will follow the classic route down river as far as Aswan* into the territory known as “Upper Egypt” and back again over the second week of our tour. Our itinerary is subject to change at any stage and such changes are beyond our control. Ultimately, the Captain will decide on where we visit and when, not least in accordance with the amount of traffic on the Nile in particular places etc. However, we know that the Universe will be ordering our visits in perfect harmony and we will be where we need to be at each stage of this wonderful journey.
During the week long cruise stage of our trip, there will be plenty of time for bathing in the Egyptian sun on one of the sun decks as well as relaxing and reading / catching up on your rest. These phases will be entwined with trips on land to the various sacred sites where the in the moment activations will take place.
DAY 2 or 9 – Tuesday 6th July
For those who have just arrived in Egypt, an opportunity to visit the Temple of Amun at Karnak, which was once the religious centre of Thebes and Upper Egypt. Karnak was linked to Luxor by a sphinx-lined avenue and in turn the whole complex was connected to the Nile by a canal. Also visit the Temple of Luxor, built by Amenphis III on the site of an earlier temple, which was enlarged and beautified by Ramses II.
For those who have already visited these vast complexes, there is an opportunity for some well deserved rest and recouperation on board our floating luxury hotel.
Set sail in the afternoon to Edfu for an overnight stay.
DAY 3 or 10 - Wednesday 7th July
Visit to the Temple of Edfu which is dedicated to the Sun God Horus and dates from the Ptolemies. It is in Edfu that one gets the strongest impression of the cults and worships of ancient Egypt. Sail to Aswan visiting the Temple of Kom Ombo en route. The Temple of Kom Ombo dates from 2nd century. This temple is dedicated to two gods, namely Horus and Sobek, the crocodile-headed god, each with its own chapel. There are some excellent wall paintings here which are at their best in the outermost of the corridors that run around the temple.
Continue to Aswan for overnight.
DAY 4 or 11 - Thursday 8th July
Aswan High Dam
The High Dam was another feat of engineering, built in the 1960's. The Dam is over 11,000 feet long, approximately 3200 feet thick its base and towers 364 feet in the air. It is said that it contains about 18 times the amount of material as was used in the Great Pyramid of Cheops. The High Dam was built 6 km down river from the Low Dam, and together the dams provide irrigation and electricity for all of Egypt. Also, the world's largest man-made reservoir, Lake Nassar, was created at the same time.
Like the Low Dam, construction of the High Dam also had noticable effects on the environment. The High Dam created 30% more cultivatable land in Egypt, raised the water table for the Shara as far away as Algeria, and doubled Egypt's supply of available electricity. Additionally, the creation of Lake Nassar has changed the landscape drastically.
DAY 5 or 12 - Friday 9th July
Optional trip by road to Abu Simbel. The Temples of Abu Simbel are arguably the most remarkable of all Nubian antiquities. They were discovered in the early 19th century after being buried for hundreds of years under a sea of sand. In the 1960s , as the waters of Lake Nasser threatened to engulf them, a 5 year UNESCO project cut them off from the mountain relocating them to an artificial cliff high above their original position.
Those who do not wish to make this optional trip may, again, spend some time soaking up the guaranteed sunshine as the trip draws slowly to a close.
DAY 6 or 13 - Saturday 10th July
The day is spent resting as we cruise to Luxor, enjoying the facilities on board and watching the daily life on the Nile glide by. Overnight in Luxor.
DAY 7 or 14 - Sunday 11th July
Optional visit the Valley of the Kings at Thebes in the early morning (for those travellers joining us for week two only).
After breakfast we will disembark from our cruiser and visit the West Bank of Luxor, one of the richest archaeological sites on Earth by crossing the road bridge to see the world famous Valley of the Kings.
We shall also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and continue to the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the vessel for lunch. Afternoon free before a private reception at Luxor Temple and a cocktail reception at the Old Winter Palace Hotel in the evening. Please bring a “holiday smart” outfit for entry to this hotel.
Alternatively, a final day to explore, make final souvenir purchases or otherwise explore Luxor before tomorrow’s journey home. Those who didn’t fit in the Hot Air Balloon ride earlier and still wish to do so, can book for today.
