Childhood and adolescence bring a range of challenges that Reflexology can help with. It is widely recognised that society today is placing unprecedented pressures on children and teenagers. Reflexology is an ideal therapy to help them cope with the health issues, both physical and emotional, caused by the changes in lifestyle they experience.
During the 1 day course you will learn
- how your role as therapist is affected by work with a minor, your legal position and your relationship with the carer as well as the client
- how to adapt your techniques dependant on the age and development of the client
- communication skills for work with children and teenagers
- particular health issues you are likely to encounter in work with children and teenagers
- how to approach the lifestyle advice needed
This course is available as a stand alone workshop or as a module in the Advanced Diploma in Reflexology and is therefore suitable for qualified and experienced Reflexologists as well as those reaching the end of their initial training. It will help you to widen your client base and give you the confidence to work with this interesting and rewarding group of clients.
Assessment will be ongoing throughout the duration of the day.
